Welcome to the online portfolio of Julieann Worrall Hood (artist, sculptor and theatre designer) and Nick Hood (garden designer and creator, plantsman and project manager).
Julieann and Nick work separately in their areas of specialism and also collaborate on projects and garden design, bringing together a unique combination of creative skills and experience.

Inspired by:
nature, Picasso’s sculpture, Hepworth's drawings, Moore’s drawings, the work of Stanley Spencer, Giotto, Pierro de la Francesca,Tim Burton and Heath Robinson. Millet’s drawings, the sequential photographs of Eadweard Muybridge, Angela Carter’s dark fairy tales and Quentin Blake’s quirky illustrations for Roald Dahl.
Nick Hood
Likes to:
- create huge flower beds
- combine plant textures, colours and shapes in a sculptural way
- create flamboyant and contemplative, formal and informal areas within a garden
- swim,cycle and play tennis
- go to the cinema
Inspired by:
nature, Piet Oudolf, Geoff Hamilton, Geoffrey Jellicoe and Grandpa George ( a keen gardener and painter).
